Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC)
Fit deeply inside your ear canal and are the most discrete type of hearing aid available.
In-the-Canal (ITC)
These are custom molded and fit partly in your ear canal.
In-the-Ear (ITE)
Come in half or full-shell designs and are the largest ”in-ear” hearing aid.
Behind-the-Ear (BTE)
These sit behind the ear attached with a tube to the custom earpiece that sits in your ear canal.
Reciever-in-Ear (RIE)
AKA receiver-in-the-canal, they are similar to BTE hearing aids except they are connected by a wire instead of a tube.
Open Fit Hearing
Keep the canal wide open so that lower frequencies can enter naturally whilst the hearing aid amplifies higher frequencies.
